Mehfil-e-Rashid
محفلِ رشیدA collection of ghazals for my father: the editor who placed every mark, the poet who gave me the form, the man who taught me to write down what I am feeling. This is me, writing it down, Mzee.
Mzee, Swahili for elder, is what I fondly called him: a nod to our upbringing in Kenya.
